maintenance technician (2024 - present)

Hans is currently undergoing an internship program as a maintenance technician at PT Alkindo Mitra Raya, a manufacturing company specializing in chemical products—specifically resin, which is used as a raw material for paint. During his internship, Hans is assigned to the maintenance department, which is responsible for the upkeep and repair of production machinery. On a daily basis, he participates in both preventive and corrective maintenance activities and assists senior technicians in addressing various technical issues on-site.

This internship has become a valuable experience for Hans, as it offers him the opportunity to apply the knowledge he has gained at school in a real-world industrial environment. He has learned to read wiring diagrams, understand the workflow of industrial machinery systems, and operate various measuring tools and technical equipment. In addition to enhancing his technical skills, Hans has also developed his communication and teamwork abilities, as he is required to coordinate with multiple departments within the company. This experience has not only enriched Hans’ technical knowledge and capabilities but has also strengthened his determination to grow as a professional technician in the field of industrial technology and automation.

Student council (2023 - 2024)

Hans began his involvement in student leadership at SMK SMTI Yogyakarta during his second year, in Grade 11. He joined the school’s Student Council (OSIS) and served as a member of the Leadership, Politics, and Organizational Affairs division. Through this role, Hans gained a deeper understanding of how student organizations function and contributed to various school programs aimed at cultivating leadership skills and discipline among students.

One of the most memorable experiences Hans had in OSIS was participating in TOUCH #13, an annual tryout event held for junior high school students preparing for national exams. In this event, Hans was assigned to the decoration and documentation (dekdok) team, where he was responsible for creating the visual setup of the venue and capturing important moments throughout the event. This task taught him the importance of teamwork, attention to detail, and maintaining quality presentation from preparation to execution.

Hans also played a key role in one of SMK SMTI’s largest and most anticipated annual events: Chemicfest #8. Chemicfest is a creative student-run concert that showcases the talents and innovations of SMTI students. In this event, Hans handled two major responsibilities—as part of the registration team and as a backstage runner. For registration, he was involved in designing the ticketing system, setting ticket prices, and promoting the event to teachers and parents. This experience sharpened his communication skills and introduced him to the basics of event marketing and public engagement.

As a runner backstage, Hans was in charge of ensuring smooth backstage operations, preparing all necessary resources, and responding to any unexpected issues that arose during the event. This high-pressure role required quick thinking, strong coordination, and the ability to stay calm under stress. It gave Hans invaluable experience in crisis management and event logistics—skills that translate well into the world of project management and engineering operations.

School youth scientific group (2023 - 2024)

In addition to his role in the student council, Hans was also an active member of the school’s Youth Scientific Group or Kelompok Ilmiah Remaja in indonesian, commonly known as KIR. Through this organization, Hans was introduced to the world of scientific research and innovation. He learned how to write structured research papers, formulate research questions, and apply scientific methods in solving real-world problems. Being in KIR also taught him how to think critically and communicate his ideas in a logical and impactful way.

Hans’s involvement in KIR went beyond theory—he actively participated in research competitions where he had the opportunity to present his projects in front of judges and fellow students. These experiences not only helped improve his public speaking and presentation skills but also boosted his confidence in defending his ideas and receiving constructive feedback. KIR became a meaningful platform for Hans to grow intellectually and develop a mindset rooted in inquiry, precision, and continuous learning.

school japanese club (2022 - 2024)

Hans was also actively involved in the Japanese club at SMK SMTI Yogyakarta. During his first year, he participated as an enthusiastic member, joining various events and Japanese language competitions. Despite being a newcomer, Hans took on responsibilities in several club activities, including organizing the club’s promotional event during the 2023 MPLS (school orientation program). He prepared all the necessary materials, delegated tasks to the team, and was in charge of strategies to boost students’ interest in the club.

Thanks to the efforts of Hans and his team, the promotional activities during MPLS 2023 resulted in a significant increase in new members. The response was so overwhelming that the classroom assigned for club activities could no longer accommodate all participants. The high level of enthusiasm among new students reflected the success of Hans’s leadership and the effectiveness of his organizational skills during the campaign.

In his second year, Hans was appointed as the club president, which brought even greater responsibilities. He was in charge of ensuring the smooth operation of the club’s activities, managing the club’s inventory, and coordinating participation in various school events. These duties often overlapped with his responsibilities in the student council (OSIS), requiring Hans to sharpen his time management and prioritization skills. This experience helped strengthen his leadership, teamwork, and organizational abilities significantly.

student council (2020 - 2021)

In 8th grade, Hans became actively involved in the student council (OSIS) and was entrusted with the role of Academic Evaluation Officer. In this position, Hans and his team were responsible for designing and organizing activities or competitions aimed at enhancing the academic abilities of fellow students, such as quiz competitions and other educational events. Through this role, Hans learned how to develop engaging and meaningful programs while collaborating effectively with his team to implement initiatives that had a positive impact on the student body.

However, Hans’s term in the student council was not without challenges. The COVID-19 pandemic struck during his tenure, forcing all organizational activities to shift to an online format. Limited face-to-face interaction and various technical difficulties presented significant obstacles for the entire student council team. Despite these setbacks, Hans remained committed to fulfilling his responsibilities, adapting to the new circumstances, and continuing to contribute to maintaining the spirit of teamwork and productivity in the organization during such a difficult time.

school islamic organization (2019 - 2021)

The first organization Hans joined during his time in junior high school was Rohis (school islamic organization). Although he didn’t consider himself highly religious, Hans was actively involved in the administrative aspects of the organization. One of his main responsibilities was helping manage the weekly Friday infaq (charity) collection, from gathering the donations to recording the funds received. He also assisted in organizing the daily morning Qur’an recitation (tadarus) schedule, ensuring the activity ran smoothly each day.

Through his involvement in Rohis, Hans gained his first experience in organizational work and learned the importance of consistency and discipline in managing regular activities. He developed skills in financial record-keeping, team coordination, and daily task management. This experience laid a solid foundation for his future roles in other organizations, shaping his sense of responsibility and attention to detail.

school scout (2022 - 2023, 2019-2020)

During his time in both junior and senior high school, Hans actively participated in Scout activities and was entrusted with the role of assistant patrol leader for two consecutive periods. Although this position might seem minor and often goes unnoticed, it held significant value for Hans. As the assistant patrol leader, he was responsible for supporting the patrol leader in coordinating members, maintaining team cohesion, and ensuring that activities ran smoothly. He would also step in to lead when the patrol leader was unavailable, whether it involved guiding training sessions, delivering instructions, or organizing strategies during competitions and drills.

This role taught Hans the essence of leadership on a small but meaningful scale—how to collaborate with others, understand team dynamics, and manage group performance effectively. Even though it wasn’t a high-profile position, the experience became one of the key foundations in his organizational journey. It showed him that leadership isn’t always about holding a big title, but rather about being responsible, dependable, and attentive to the needs of those around you.
